We recently asked Yes guitarist Steve Howe, having then recently come off performing the band’s exquisite and oft overlooked masterwork, Drama in its entirely on tour, about the sessions for that album.

“We were playing at very high speeds, and it was intricate and it was very, very rocking. I think it’s great when Yes tip to that side of the scale. Fundamentally, we are a rock band. We started as that, and we need to hang onto it! (laughs) We don’t want to become totally orchestral. That wouldn’t be right. We don’t ever want to lose that connection.”
